Style | Military Boots & Pencil Skirt
I have to admit that it took me quite awhile to get onboard with the flat military boot trend cause I just plain didn't feel cool enough. I saw these babies at Target on sale and I decided to take the plunge. You know what, I kinda really love them! Super comfy and make me feel put together without having to wear heels. This outfit may be as close to sweat pants as you could possibly get in a skirt. Let me tell you why.
Exhibit A: Flat boots (Target)
They look fancier than flip flops or tennis shoes, but way more comfortable than heels. Bonus: they have a zipper in the back which means you don't even have to tie them!
Exhibit B: Denim Chambray shirt (Shop & Apparel)
Super soft and easy to throw on if you get a little chilly, you can tie it around your waste to hide your rump if that is an area of concern and this one has THE perfect cut! My other one is way too long and makes proportions look wonky.
Exhibit C: Stretchy Pencil Skirt (Shop & Apparel)
Main reason why this outfit is like wearing sweat pants...this skirt. So comfy and love the stretch. Anything with an elastic waist band is a winner in my book. Bonus: it's on sale!
Exhibit D: Pendant and Bracelet (Metal Marvels)
I am all for a statement necklace, but there is something so effortless about a single pendant on a long chair. No fuss, just easy. In a hurry? Skip the arm party and go for a simple rhinestone bracelet like this one. Enough sparkle to stand on it's own. Bonus: use code Elevate30 for 30% off
And this hat?! I rest my case.
As soon as I saw it on Recycled Designs I had to have it. Like call Jen and make her call Amanda immediately to have her ship it in time for me to wear it to Alt. I pretty much hate to wash and dry and style my hair. This bad boy is on repeat right now! And what are the chances it would match PERfectly with the necklace?!
Check out how Jen styled her floral pencil skirt earlier this week! How about you....if you couldn't wear sweats, what would be your go to outfit?
