DIY Unicorn Cupcake Kids Activity
We hosted the Ultimate Unicorn birthday party for Kennedy a couple weeks ago at home, but I needed something special to send with her to celebrate as school. I have an illness called "must make life harder than it has to be" so store bought cupcakes just wouldn't work. Anyone else like to make things way harder by being an over achiever? I am in recovery so I actually did a store bought cupcake hack and this darling unicorn cupcake was the result. Pretty darling right?!
You will laugh at how easy these were to put together...I am going to say that this idea may be in my top 10 ideas of life. I stopped at the super market and asked if they had any plain cupcakes with no decoration on them. They looked at me funny for a second, but were happy to help me. The darling girl even offered to do a custom pink frosting for me since they had some that had not been frosted yet. 2 dozen pink frosted cupcakes in hand...we went to the candy aisle...
...then the cereal aisle. I picked up any thing bright and rainbow colored to use as decorations. The final touch was the bag of caramel Bugles that served as Unicorn Horns of course.
I put all the items in disposable cupcake tins...perfect for tiny little fingers.
or at least cvv shop
We let them loose and they went to town creating the most darling little unicorn cupcake there ever was. They had a ball and the teachers were excited to have a fun little activity for the kids to do.
If you your little pumpkin is obsessed with all things unicorns and rainbow and candy...throw this activity on your Summer fun list and claim your title as best parent ever.
Do you have any birthday celebration hacks you love? I'm always looking for ways to help me on my road to "over-do-it-itis".
