Style | How To Accessorize Floral Print
One of the trends that I am really loving this year is floral prints. It's a great way to wear a bold pattern in a skirt, dress or blouse without looking too busy because of the delicate flowers. I styled a beautiful dress and basic blouse to show how you can dress the trend up or dress it down depending on how you accessories each outfit.
This long, flowing SheIn.com floral dress (on sale for $22) is so beautiful. It has subtle hints of dark green and purple which stand out nicely against the navy background. Because the dress has multiple colors in it, I wanted to keep the accessories neutral. I even paired them with these nude booties (similar here) which I love and wear even more than my tennis shoes because they are just as comfortable.
This gold necklace makes a great statement without competing with the pattern on the dress. Best part about it: only $10!
With a more bold dress and statement necklace I chose an understated earring. These oval, morganite studs were custom designed for me by Taylor Custom Rings and I am obsessed with them. They are 14K rose gold earrings each set with a 3/4ct genuine Morganite. I love that they are beautiful enough pair with a dressed up look, but simple enough to wear everyday with jeans and a top. You guys these photos just don't do them justice, they are are stunning! Taylor Custom Rings creates everything just like their names says: custom! You have to follow them on instagram, their feed is filled with the most gorgeous jewelry. If you head over to my instagram I am actually giving a pair of these exact earrings away this evening.
I scored this darling floral and lace blouse for under $20 last time I was at Kohl's. It was chilly this week so I put a long sleeve t shirt under to keep warm. I paired it with my go to skinny jeans and the same booties as the dress above in a darker brown. Yep, loved them so much I got them in 2 colors.
The added lace not only gives it a girly touch, but also some added length which is really flattering and keeps my mommy tummy from showing when I'm lifting up the kiddos.
Instead of doing a bold necklace with this top I chose to do an "arm party" instead. I stacked 2 gold bracelets with my Jord wood watch. This is actually my husband's watch, but I love it so much I "borrow" it from time to time. Don't tell him! I'm giving away a Jord watch with those amazing earrings on Instagram tonight. I called it a "his and hers" giveaway, but let's face it, you might need to keep them both for yourself.
If you could use a little something special for yourself I'd love for you to go enter the Taylor Custom Rings & Jord Wood Watch giveaway I'm hosting on Instagram. This package is worth over $400! It's like an early Valentine's Day present to yourself!
