Spring Skirts to Love this Season
I love Spring Skirts! They are more comfortable than jeans and much more versatile than dresses. As I looked through my closet a couple weeks ago I realized that I have a bunch of dresses and hardly any skirts. Don't get me wrong, dresses are amazing. You barely even have to think since there is no top and bottom decision making going on. Just grab and go. However, if you are trying to change things up for different seasons or events, you are really limited. With a great skirt you can dress it up or down depending on what you wear on top. You can even transition through different seasons with sweaters and tanks.
This Spring skirts are a big big deal. I'm showing you how to pair a perfectly floral skirt with a casual chambray shirt today. Ever have that event where you aren't quite sure if you need to dress up or down? This would be perfect for that. You can look put together without looking stuffy or way over done.
I tied up the shirt instead of tucking it in to help with the laid back look. If you wanted to go more dressy you could tuck it in and add a cute belt. I seriously fell in love with the material of this skirt the moment I saw it. The overlay is mesh with subtle ruffled blooms on it which gives it dimension and movement.
I added a pop of color with these cobalt blue pumps. Cobalt is a big trend this spring, I love to pair it with white, but the light blue of the chambray shirt ties it in nicely to this outfit. I also love these box style handbags from H&M. I have them in about 3 colors. Because it's sturdy and keeps it shape, it is easy to find things in it. I am still in the stage of having little ones stick their "things" in my purse when we are out and about so this is important for my sanity.
I am living in these Sunnies from Stella and Dot and this gold metal fringe necklace from Forever 21 is an easy to wear statement piece.
I am a newly converted lover of wrap bracelets and this gold and cobalt blue number is a great way to tie in the blue shoes without looking too matchy matchy. I've linked all the items from this look and some of my other favorite Spring Skirts below!

Dylan was riding his bike when I was shooting with Channell from Love Photography and loves her so and the camera so naturally he jumped in for a couple shots. She has such a great way with kiddos, we all have so much fun when we get to shoot with her. If you are looking for a family or style photographer in Orange County, you would love her!
