Keeping Summertime White Dresses Bright
I've talked about it before and if you follow me on instagram, you know my admiration for white clothes. I just love how fresh and bright white dresses look and now that Summer is right around the corner I'm about to amp up the amount of white in my wardrobe. I get questions all the time about how I am able to keep those white jeans and white overalls looking great with little hands constantly tugging and hugging on me so I thought I'd share a couple tips since we are friends and all. Here are some ideas of how to keep your white dresses and your kiddos clothes nice and bright.
1. Change right into play clothes: Kennedy has this beautiful white dress that she loves to wear, but as soon as we get home we change out of it and right into play clothes. It took me awhile to learn this one, but it has saved many dresses since then.
2. Keep wipes handy: We always keep wipes close at hand, but the days when we wear some of our favorite white outfits we make sure they are at arms reach.
3. Tackle stains immediately: This is one that I struggle with sometimes too, but I have learned that a quick spray and scrub with a stain remover makes it so much easier to get clean the first time in the wash.
4. Save them for when you are kid-free: This sounds pretty basic, but if you stay away from white completely, give it a try. There are some really beautiful styles that come in white so grab something you love and save it for when you are out with your hubby. It's nice to have a little something special that makes you feel beautiful.
5. Use a really good detergent: We use Persil Pro Clean to keep our clothes clean and skin safe. My oldest has really sensitive skin so I have to be careful what we use. I was feeling like I had to compromise a great scent and stain fighting ability for a less effective sensitive skin detergent. Since Persil Pro Clean is hypoallergenic I can have clothes that smell fresh and keep my kiddos safe. Plus it smells really, really good!
Persil Pro Clean is available at select Target Stores Nationwide and available to everyone online.
